Leslie Israelsky, my mom, is one of my favorite artists. Growing up, I remember mom using many mediums: pottery, stained glass, water color, paper making, candle making, drawing and painting. She really was fearless. Over time it became clear, her long term passion was painting. She was self taught. She started selling some of her painting at local art fairs and then she started Leslie’s Place a local art gallery in Poulsbo, Washington. It was an amazing place filled with love and art. She held game, poetry and music nights as well as highlighting local artists. All the while quietly painting a large volume of work at home. In these pages you will find images of her work, some pieces are still in the family or with friends, other were sold and are in the hands of collectors. Please enjoy these images. Love and light. (A world traveler, Leslie was anchored in Indianola, Wa for the last third of her life. She passed in her home in Indianola in 2010. If you have images to add to this collection of her work please email. Thank you.)
